Balancing my life.

Describe something you learned in high school.

All through my secondary school, Nigerian equivalent of high school, mathematics and science teachers kept bombarding with the phrase “balance the equation”. This made those classes dreadful lol..I know that many of us can relate.

It was a torture kind of as we raced from linear to nonlinear equations studying and channeling all our energies to memorising or as we used to say then, “cramming” the different formula for different equations.

It was normal academic burden to me until one day when our mathematics teacher, seeing us sweat over a simultaneous equation he said, “this is how life is; it’s not balanced, our assignments from our first breathe to the last is to find X or Y or both and balance it”

From that day my approach to mathematics changed and life changed. I began to apply all it’s principles and formula not just on answer shits but in my life.

My performance in maths improved  parallel to my life.

I stopped dreading mathematics and life and they stopped terrifying me.
